The USR® Gigabit Fiber Network TAPs offer a simple method for the quick and effective use of analysis tools to observe and monitor data traffic between two devices in a fiber network up to 100G. Designed to be completely passive and fault-tolerant, USR Fiber Network TAPs are invisible in the network and require no power supply, ensuring no impact on network performance or integrity. This makes these Gigabit LC Fiber TAPs suitable for permanent installations in a fiber network. These robust devices are ideal for real-time monitoring and analysis of full-duplex traffic between critical network devices such as switches, routers, and firewalls. They also pass errors that are not visible with SPAN ports. TAPs are topology-independent, suitable for ATM, Gigabit, OC3-OC48, or SONET protocols, and available for both OS1-2 single-mode and OM1-4 multi-mode fiber networks.
