The TCXK-MSW13005-24 is a cost-effective high performance Layer 2 plus Managed Gigabit Switch series with the following port configurations: 16-port 10/100/1000 with 2 SFP slots. They represent the successor of the TCXK-MSW13005-12. The new TCXK-MSW13005-24 is equal or alike in architecture/lookand- feel, smal different dimensions, and Management.
16-Port 10/100/1000Base-T(X) + 2 SFP Open Slots Layer 2+ Full Managed Switch
The TCXK-MSW13005-24 is a 16-port 10/100/1000Base-T + 2 Gigabit SFP L2 Full Managed Switch designed for small to medium-sized network environments to enhance their network connections. The additional 2 SFP slots support both 100M and Gigabit Fiber transceivers for long-distance transmission. The switch features an embedded L2 Full Managed software engine that supports SNMP, 802.1Q VLAN, QoS, RSTP, LACP, LLDP, 802.1X, Access Management, and more. The 4K VLAN, 8 physical queues, and 9 groups of link aggregation offer superb functionality for a wide range of applications. With these features, the switch is ideal for SMB network environments looking to improve their network connections.
2 Gigabit SFP Open Slots
The switch supports 2 additional SFP open slots for uplinks to servers, storage devices, or other switches for long-reach applications. These 2 SFP slots also support legacy 100M SFP transceivers. If a 100M fiber infrastructure is already in place and 100M bandwidth is sufficient, the 100M SFP transceiver is a suitable option for legacy 100M network environments.
Full Layer 2+ Management Features
The switch offers comprehensive Layer 2+ Management features. The software set includes support for up to 4K 802.1Q VLAN, advanced Protocol VLAN, Private VLAN, MVR, and other advanced VLAN features. Additionally, there are 8 physical queues for Quality of Service, IPv4/v6 Multicast filtering, Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP) to prevent network loops, Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol (MSTP) for VLAN and Spanning Tree integration, LACP, LLDP, sFlow, port mirroring, cable diagnostics, and advanced network security features. The switch also provides Console CLI for out-of-band management, as well as SNMP and Web GUI for in-band management.
Advanced Security
The switch supports advanced security features, including secured HTTPS and SSH for switch management, ensuring that login passwords and configuration packets are protected. Port binding allows specific MAC addresses to be bound to ports, granting network access only to the bound MAC address. With 802.1X port-based Access Control, every user must be authorized before accessing the network. AAA (Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting) is supported with RADIUS and TACAS+ servers. The Layer 2+ Access Control List (ACL) allows users to define access privileges based on IP, MAC address, port number, and more.
