A driver for NeuroSky's MindWave for use with LabVIEW bei National Instruments is now available.

A LabVIEW - NeuroSky Driver has been developed that allows users to easily acquire data and access the full functionality of the system level driver provided by NeuroSky. NeuroSky provides a dynamic linked library (DLL) with a set of functions written in C that access the virtual com port that runs with the headset.

1.First, decide what you want to achieve with the training and select the according parameters.

If you want to train your attention choose parameters that can be increased to heighten your attention or that can be decreased to minimize negative influences on attention respectively.

Unfortunately problems can occur with home-of-attention on some 64bit operating systems. The following tips can help you solve this problem if it occur.

Right click on the home-of-attention desktop icon. Click on “properties” and select the “compatibility” tab. Now check “run in compatibility mode (Vista SP2)” and / or “run as administrator”.

Alpha1: Alpha1 waves indicate relaxation states that are not as intense as in the theta range. One perceives stimuli from the environment that have a certain strength or relevance. The alpha waves are trained down if relaxation is not required and trained up when one cannot relax easily.
